Existing levels surveyed, trial pits or bore holes reviewed to confirm soil type. Import material or ground treatment scope identified before mobilisation.
Excavation & Export
Cut to design formation level. Soft spots identified and over-excavated. Unsuitable material loaded and transported to approved tip.
Fill & Compaction
Approved fill spread in controlled lifts (max 250mm per pass), compacted to 95%+ MDD, density tested and recorded before next lift.

What compaction standard do you use for earthworks in Dubai?
We compact to 95% of maximum dry density (MDD) as per AASHTO T99 or T180 depending on the specification. RTA typically requires 95% MDD for sub-grade and 98% for sub-base layers. We test every lift and provide nuclear density gauge reports.
Can you handle sabkha and soft ground conditions?
Yes. Sabkha treatment typically involves over-excavation, removal of salt-contaminated material, and replacement with approved granular fill or stabilised material. We assess the extent during site investigation and provide a fixed-price scope.
Do you supply engineered fill material?
Yes. We source approved granular fill, aggregate sub-base and select fill from UAE suppliers. Material comes with quarry certificates and we retest on site as required.
Where do you dispose of excavated material?
We transport excavated material to Dubai Municipality-approved disposal sites or arrange reuse within the project where the material is suitable. Tip receipts are provided for waste tracking.
Can you excavate around existing services and utilities?
Yes. We obtain utility drawings from DEWA and other authorities before digging near services, and use manual or vacuum excavation in critical zones to protect existing mains.
